I am a published author and writer. For over two decades, I have worked at the intersection of history, culture and civic life, shaping narratives and public places that hold our collective memory. My writing explores what it means to belong, to carry a heritage across borders, and to build places where stories survive. My writing or byline has been featured in the New York Times, Reuters, Harvard Magazine, the Miami Herald, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and many other media outlets. I have presented at SXSW EDU and Americans for the Arts, and in forums across the world. I completed undergraduate studies with High Honors in History at Harvard University, and a Master's in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science. As a cultural and civic leader, I have spent my career building and stewarding institutions - such as the Miami Book Fair, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, and the Freedom Tower - that reflect and inspire the communities that surround them.
